Mercè Boada y Rovira is a Catalan neurologist and Co-Founder and Medical Director of the ACE Alzheimer Center Barcelona. A specialist in neurodegenerative diseases, particularly Alzheimer’s and other dementias, she has been a leading figure in diagnosis, treatment, research, and patient support in Catalonia.

Dr. Boada has authored over 150 scientific publications, participated in more than 100 clinical trials, and is recognized internationally for her contributions to neurology. In 2016, she was awarded the Creu de Sant Jordi, one of Catalonia’s highest honors, for her pioneering work in advancing dementia care and research.
