Céline Abecassis-Moedas is the Pro-Rector for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Católica Portuguese University. She holds a PhD in Business Strategy from École Polytechnique, Paris, a Master’s in Management from Université Paris-Dauphine, and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Management from École Normale Supérieure de Cachan and La Sorbonne. She is an Associate Professor (with aggregation) in Strategy and Innovation at CATÓLICA-LISBON and the Director of the executive program Longevity Leadership. She served as Director of Executive Education from 2019 to 2024.
Céline is a non-executive board member of Vista Alegre Atlantis and Lectra. She has taught at Queen Mary University of London and worked as a strategy consultant at A.T. Kearney in London, as well as a Product Manager at Lectra in New York. She was also an International Faculty Fellow at MIT Sloan School of Management.
Her research focuses on the role of design in innovation, design management, and the intersection of innovation and entrepreneurship in the creative industries. Her work has been published in journals such as Journal of Product Innovation Management, Creativity and Innovation Management, International Journal of Entrepreneurship and Small Business, Journal of Business Research, Innovation: Organization & Management, and International Journal of Operations and Production Management.
