Born in Cascais on September 30, 1978, where he still lives, is married and father of three children.
Nuno Piteira Lopes completed the PADE – Senior Management Program at AESE in 2019. Graduated in Economics from the Lusófona University of Humanities and Technologies in 2001.
Nuno Piteira Lopes has a Pedagogical Training for Trainers course – Recognized by the I.E.F.P. in 2004. Between 1998 and 2000 was an Administrative Technician at the Cascais Institute of Technological Education, working in the administrative area of ESF-funded training courses.
From 2000 to 2001 was a Vocational Training Technician at the Cascais Institute of Technological Education, working in the administrative and financial areas of all vocational training.
At the Portuguese Red Cross (Estoril Branch), from 2011 to the present, was responsible for the financial and pedagogical coordination of the Training Department.
Advisor to the Board of Candifor – Formação Profissional (2002/2003).
Advisor to ECCO, Espaço da Comunidade Cabo Verdiana na Outurela – Oeiras (2003/2005), working in the area of applications and funding for P.O.R.L.V.T.
Assistant to the Councillor for Finance and Human Resources (2005/2009).
Assistant to the Mayor (2009/2010).
Municipal Director in the Municipal Financial and Asset Management Department (2010/2011) at Cascais Town Hall.
Between 2006 and 2012 was Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Agência Municipal DNA Cascais, Agência Atlântico, Agência Natura and Agência Energia.
Since June 2012, he has been Chairman of DNA Cascais.
Between 2011 and 2013 he was a councillor on Cascais Town Council with responsibility for Finance, Heritage, Economic Activities and Youth.
Between 2013 and 2017, he was a councillor at Cascais Municipal Council, holding the following positions: Urban Planning; Environment; Economic Activities; Works; Territorial Intervention, Associations, Sports and Parish Councils. During the same period, he also chaired the Board of Directors of Empresa Municipal Cascais Ambiente. In 2016 he was appointed a member of the Board of Directors of the Lisbon Tourism Association.
In October 2017, he was re-elected as a Councillor of Cascais Municipal Council for the 2017 – 2021 term, taking on the following portfolios: Urban Planning; Economic Activities; Municipal Works; Territorial Intervention, Associations, Sport and Parish Councils.
